LIVESTREAM Austria: Prague Black Panthers @ Dacia Vienna Vikings, July 3, 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 am ET)

The Prague Black Panthers (2-4) will visit the Dacia Vienna Vikings (6-1) in this Austrian Football League matchup. The Czech powerhouse is eager to finish the season strong and test themselves against one of the Austria’s best teams. The Vikings look to finish the regular season strong and enter the playoffs with momentum and without injury.

The two teams met once before this season with the Vikings defeating Prague 27-9.

The Black Panthers and quarterback Zac Greenlee have molded a dangerous offense that has the potential to play with any team in Austria. Running backs Ladislaw Jensik and Henry Douglas Ofori Dankwah have taken this Prague team’s physical identity and personified it. Expect this powerful running back duo to pick up the tough yards and move the chains today. In the passing game, Greenlee will target tall receivers Jan Steigler and Jakub Wolesky. If Prague’s offensive line can protect Greenlee, look for him to light up the scoreboard this week.

Prague’s defensive line is undoubtedly the strength of their team. Defensive ends Jakub Smutny and Danik Marek will look to get pressure on the Vikings athletic quarterback Eystin Salum. In the secondary, Filip Ondrasek aims to take away the Vikings best receiver with man-to-man coverage.

The Vikings go into this week with one eye on the postseason. Expect young Austrian quarterback Nico Hrouda to get plenty of snaps this week as developing the young prospect has been one of the Vikings’ key goals this season. Receiver Daniel Schwam will look to continue his breakout season as he has another week to add to his impressive 418 yard and four touchdown regular season. Running back Florian Wegen is sure to get a ton of carries as Vienna aims to control the clock.

Defensively, pass rusher Leon Balogh is having an MVP season. His eye popping 11 sacks in only seven games have impressed fans and coaches a like. This week, Balogh and fellow defensive lineman Max Müllner will look to work on their pass rush moves and get after the pocket passing Greenlee.

Müllner commented on the upcoming match:

“I think it will take a collective effort to execute the defensive game plan. We need to be on point, to be focused and to be accurate in our executions in all four quarters of the game. I have no doubt that this match-up will be fast and physical, especially with the heavy offensive line of the Panthers. So, we got to bring our A-Game, keep the pressure high and stop the run.”

This game offers Prague another chance to test themselves against Austria’s best. After a slow start, the Black Panthers has bounced back winning two of their last three games. Look for this momentum to carry over today as they are poised to give the Vikings all they can handle.
