LIVESTREAM EFA: Nordic Storm @ Raiders Tirol, July 11, 18:00 CET (6 pm, 12 noon ET)
The Raiders Tirol (0-6) return home to Innsbruck looking for their first win of the season as they host the Nordic Storm (5-1), one of the European Football Alliance’s top teams, in a crucial Week 9 matchup at Tivoli Stadium.
While the Storm remain firmly in the hunt for the EFA Championship Game, the Raiders are still fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive. A victory would give Tirol a much-needed boost heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
Building on momentum
Although the Raiders came up short last week, there were plenty of positives to take from a 32-24 loss to the previously unbeaten Munich Ravens. After falling behind early, Tirol battled back and pushed one of the league’s best teams deep into the second half.
Head coach Shuan Fatah wants to see that same determination again this week.
“Every game is a final, as they say in soccer. Nordic Storm are a difficult opponent because they’re a very good football team. But at the end of the day, that doesn’t matter. We want to see the fight and show that we’re always competitive.”

Fatah made it clear his expectations have not changed despite the team’s record.
“What I won’t allow is for us to give up. We’ll go full speed again in this game. Anyone who knows me knows I’ll bring plenty of fire to the team.”
Running back Tim Tonko, who has scored four touchdowns over the past two games, echoed that attitude.
“It’s an extremely important game. I think every one of us knows we’re not in the best situation right now. But we still have to approach every game with the best possible energy.”
Storm ready to respond
The Storm return from their bye week after suffering their first loss of the season against the Munich Ravens. With five wins in six games, the Danish club remains one of the EFA’s top contenders and will be eager to get back on track.
A victory in Innsbruck would keep the pressure on league-leading Munich while reinforcing the Storm’s place among the championship favorites.
Physical matchup
Fatah believes the Storm present one of the toughest challenges in the league.
“For me, they have the most explosive offense in the league. They’re physical, they have a strong offensive line, and they feature many college football players. Their biggest strength is how well they execute their plays. They make very few mistakes, and their quarterback has excellent chemistry with his receivers.”
He also praised the Storm defense.
“They come at you from everywhere like a swarm of wasps. They attack you from every angle and try to create chaos in your quarterback protection.”
The Raiders know another performance like last week’s will be needed if they hope to earn their first victory against one of the EFA’s elite teams.
