LIVESTREAM EFA: Raiders Tirol @ Prague Lions, Aug. 2, 13:00 CET (1 pm, 7 am ET)

The Prague Lions (2-6) host the Raiders Tirol (1-7) on Sunday in a game neither team can afford to lose as the European Football Alliance playoff race enters its final two weeks. The Lions can keep their push for the BIG4 Playoff Weekend alive with another home victory, while a loss would officially eliminate the Raiders from postseason contention.

Prague needs another home win

The Lions return from their bye week looking to rebound from a 48-12 loss to the unbeaten Munich Ravens.

That defeat ended a two-game winning streak, but Prague has already shown it can handle the pressure of a close playoff race. The Lions edged the Paris Musketeers 36-35 in overtime earlier this season, with quarterback Jaylon Henderson leading a dramatic late comeback.

Henderson remains the engine of the offense. He has thrown for 1,605 yards and 13 touchdowns while adding 492 yards and three scores on 81 rushing attempts. His ability to escape pressure and create outside the pocket makes him one of the league’s most difficult quarterbacks to contain.

William Patterson has been his most productive target, ranking second in the EFA with 64 catches for 750 yards and five touchdowns. Matyáš Bílý gives Henderson another dangerous option in a passing game capable of producing points quickly.

Allen has transformed Tirol’s offense

The Raiders entered their bye week with renewed confidence after stunning the Frankfurt Galaxy 61-41 for their first victory of the season.

Quarterback Kenyatte Allen made an immediate impact in his Tirol debut, completing 30 of 31 passes for 408 yards and three touchdowns while adding another score on the ground. His arrival gave the Raiders a level of efficiency and explosiveness that had been missing during their 0-7 start.

Now the challenge is proving that performance was more than a one-week breakthrough.

First meeting went to the wire

These teams already produced one of the season’s wildest games, with the Lions escaping Innsbruck with a 45-44 victory.

Henderson threw for 354 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 75 yards and another score as Prague delivered the winning points in the closing moments.

The Raiders know they were only one play away from winning that night. With Allen now running the offense, they should pose an even greater threat in the rematch.

No room for mistakes

A victory would keep the Lions within reach of the final playoff positions heading into their regular-season finale against the Frankfurt Galaxy.

For the Raiders, the situation is even clearer: win and stay alive, or lose and see their playoff hopes end in Prague.
