LIVESTREAM IFAF 2022 U19 EC: Team Denmark vs Team Austria, July 7, 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 am ET)

Defending U19 European champions, Team Austria, opens the IFAF 2022 U19 European Championships when they take on Team Denmark, Thursday, July 7 at the Ravelin  Footballzentrum in Vienna, Austria.

The last three times these two teams have faced each other in this tournament Austria has come out on top. In 2019, Austria rolled over Team Denmark, beating them 45-6. At the 2015 European Championships, Team Austria defeated Denmark 41-6 while four years earlier, in 2011, the score was much closer, 21-16.

Team Austria head coach Roman Floredo leads his team into the 2022 U19 European Championship tournament as four-time defending champions. The Austrian national team has not lost a game to a European team since 2008 when Austria earned fifth place in the tournament. Since then, Team Austria has won four straight titles.

Team Denmark head coach Victor Ebsen Andersen faces a difficult task in leading his team into the 2019 U19 European Championships. Austria is playing at home and has never lost to their Danish counterparts. Still, Denmark has been an integral part of the U19 European Championship since 2006. The Danish national team won the bronze medal in the tournament in 2015 and could surprise.

Players to watch for include Team Austria’s quarterbacks Stefan Maiacher and Elias Zaricin along with the Danish national team quarterbacks, Magnus Abrahamsen Linnebjerg and Mikkel Vase Hegnelt.
