The Aztecas UDLAP (1-2) return to Templo del Dolor Saturday when they host the Leones Anáhuac Cancún (0-2) in Week 4 of Mexico’s ONEFA 14 Grandes season.

Aztecas need a response

After opening with a 30-7 victory over Zorros CETYS, the Aztecas have dropped two straight. They lost 28-26 to Águilas Blancas before being shut out 27-0 by Burros Blancos last week.

Turnovers and quarterback pressure hurt UDLAP badly in that loss, making ball security a priority against Cancún.

Leones adjusting to the big stage

The Leones are still looking for their first victory since making the jump to the 14 Grandes.

Cancún earned promotion after completing an unbeaten 2025 season by beating UACH 17-14 for the Conferencia Nacional championship. Life at the top level has been tougher. The Leones opened with a 57-28 loss to Borregos CEM before falling 45-7 to Águilas Blancas.

Both teams desperately need a clean afternoon. UDLAP is trying to stop its slide at home, while Cancún is chasing the first 14 Grandes victory in program history.
