The Norwegian League of American Football heads into its second weekend of action in 2021 Saturday, September 11 as the Kristiansand Gladiators travel to Bøn to face the Eidsvoll 1814’s.

These two teams are playing their first game since June 15, 2019, when Eidsvoll whipped the Gladiators 68-13 in the Norwegian semifinals. The pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2020 season in Norway.

Eidsvoll’s new head coach Kris Ceballos will rely on veteran quarterback Dustin Hawke Willingham to lead the offense. Willingham played most recently in Spain for the Zaragoza Hurricanes. The well-traveled signal caller previously spent five seasons in Norway playing for the Nidaros Domers (2012. 2013, 2014 & 2015) and the Oslo Vikings (2016). He helped the Vikings capture the Norwegian title in 2016.

Gladiators head coach Leo Billgren from Sweden has brought with him Swedish national team quarterback Dennis Isberg. Isberg will have excellent receivers to target including veteran Marlon Wayne Hylton who spent the 2019 season with the Oslo Vikings, helping them to win the Norwegian title that year.
