The Tychy Falcons (4-0) will visit the Bydgoszcz Archers (4-0) in a battle of undefeated teams in the Polish Football League. The winner of this game will have the top spot in the standing all to themselves with only three weeks remaining in the regular season.
The Tychy Falcons debuted their new quarterback Gabriel Losada last weekend in a 40-37 win against the Warsaw Mets. The newcomer threw for the game winning touchdown finding Dominik Niedziela for a perfectly executed goaline fade. Polish runningback Janek Swejz was also a key factor out of the backfield as a runner and receiver. The Offense will have to play well again as they face an Archers defense that fans consider one of the leagues best.

Falcons quarterback Losada commented on last week’s game:
“I feel extremely comfortable and confident in this system. We didn’t play a perfect game, but we fought hard until the last whistle. When you play a close game like this, you develop a trust and bond amongst teammates that can’t be broken. We’re just getting started!”
Defensively, the Falcons lost lineman Dominik Sikora to a lower body injury last week. His brother and fellow defensive lineman Jacek and the rest of the Falcons defense will have to step up in his absence against an Archers offense filled with talent.
Bydgoszcz looks to take the top spot in the Polish Football League this week behind an explosive offense led by quarterback Jake Schimenz. Schimenz has been one of the league’s most exciting passers. His improvisational style and quick feet make the Archers hard to predict and even harder to stop.
Defensively, Bydgoszcz is led by Robbie Wallace, who has scored three defensive touchdowns this season and blocked a field goal. In the secondary Spaniard Javier Carrasco has a league leading three interceptions in four games. Carrasco commented on the matchup with Tychy:
“The team is ready, is true we are facing an experienced team but I don’t think they are ready for us, so far we are both undefeated and there’s a lot involved in this game, only one team can take the 1st seed and I guarantee it’s going to be a hell of a fight”
Fans of the Polish Football League should expect another great game, in what has been a competitive season with no clear title favorites yet. The Archers look to make some noise take the top spot in the league, only two years after being promoted from the second division.
