LIVESTREAM Sweden PPV: Örebro Black Knights @ Carlstad Crusaders, June 6, 13:00 CET (1 pm, 7 am ET)
The Carlstad Crusaders (6-0) return from their bye week looking to stay unbeaten when they host the Örebro Black Knights (4-2) in a crucial Swedish Superserien matchup at Sola Arena on Saturday.
The two teams met in the season opener back in April, with Carlstad coming away with a 49-21 victory. That game was heavily influenced by injuries on both sides, and a lot has changed since then. Now, with the playoffs approaching, the stakes are higher as both teams battle for postseason positioning and potential home-field advantage in the semifinals.
Plenty has changed since April
While the opener went Carlstad’s way, Örebro has been one of the league’s hottest teams since then. The Black Knights put together a four-game winning streak and have remained firmly in the playoff picture despite continuing injury concerns.
The roster has evolved along the way. Defensive back Jacobe Clement and defensive end AJ Clair have been added, while Viktor Ekberg has been limited by a knee injury. Anthony Ratliff-Williams has also become an important part of the offense, creating another element for opposing defenses to prepare for.
That uncertainty gives Carlstad plenty to think about heading into the rematch.

Offensive firepower on display
The biggest challenge for Örebro may be slowing down a Carlstad offense that has been the most productive in the league. The Crusaders are averaging 49.5 points and 445.3 yards per game, both league-leading marks.
As defenses have focused on limiting De’Anta Sipp, quarterback Jackson Erdmann has found success through the air. Sipp remains the centerpiece of the offense, leading the league in all-purpose yards while ranking second in rushing.
Lukas Kullstrand has also emerged as one of the top receiving threats in the Superserien, while Rory Kelly contributes on both offense and defense and remains one of the league’s most dangerous return specialists.
Battle in the trenches
One area to watch will be Örebro’s defense against the explosive Carlstad attack. The Black Knights allow just 247 yards per game, the best defensive mark in the league, and feature key contributors including Martin Jäppinen, Sebastian Franzén, Rikard Carlsson, Edward Anshelm, Clement, and Rasmus Brolin.
For Örebro, controlling the running game and keeping the ball away from the Crusaders’ offense could be critical. The Black Knights average 338.5 yards per game and would prefer a balanced attack that keeps the clock moving.
With both teams already qualified for the playoffs, Saturday’s matchup is less about survival and more about positioning. But whenever Carlstad and Örebro meet, there is always plenty on the line, and this latest chapter should be no different.
