The league leading and defending champion Stockholm Mean Machines (2-0) travel to the south of Sweden Saturday, April 27 to take on the Kristianstad Predators (1-1) as the Swedish Superserien enters the third weekend of action.

Kristianstad got by AIK Stockholm last weekend on a late touchdown, edging AIK 21-20. The Predators had suffered a tough opening day loss in their first game back in Sweden’s top league since 2015, when they were trounced by the Carlstad Crusaders 42-6. The Mean Machines have opened their 2024 season in the Swedish Superserien with two straight wins after beating the Örebro Black Knights 39-18 and the Limhamn Griffins 44-14. Last week, Stockholm downed the visiting British champions, the Manchester Titans, 44-14 in Central European Football League play.

Predators quarterback Myron Norfleet has thrown for 275 yards and four touchdowns in the two games with Jakob Stenberg as his favorite target hauling in nine passes for 124 yards and two scores. Defensive lineman Axel Seth anchors the front seven for Kristianstad. He has 4.5 tackles so far while defensive back Lukas Nilsson leads the team with 8.5 tackles and a forced fumble.

Stockholm quarterback Mateo Renteria leads a potent offense. He has completed 33 of 47 passes for 457 yards and five touchdowns in the two games. His favorite target is Matt Retzlaff who has caught eight of those passes for 130 yards and two scores. The ground game is impressive led by Kasper Wedberg who has rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns. Oliwer Stedt has rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns while David Ottander has 49 yards on 10 carries scoring two touchdowns as well.
