New Orleans Saints owner Gayle Benson visits Paris to strengthen ties with French football
The connection between Louisiana and France is thriving. On March 27, New Orleans Saints owner Gayle Benson made a special trip to Paris, joined by several players from the team, to focus on the growth of flag football.
A growing partnership
Since the NFL granted the Saints marketing rights in France, their collaboration with the French Federation of American Football (FFFA) has flourished. This partnership has led to various initiatives, including training camps and support for promoting flag football in schools. The experience and resources from New Orleans are playing a crucial role in advancing the sport in France.

Highlighting youth talent
Benson’s visit included a close look at young French athletes during a flag football event organized by the Quarks of Villebon-Longjumeau. With the 2028 Olympics approaching, flag football is becoming increasingly important for both the Saints and the FFFA. This trip underscores the team’s dedication to nurturing and inspiring the next generation of athletes in France.
