New receiving leader in Sweden as regular season nearing end

With two games left in the regular season in the Superserien in Sweden, a new receiving leader has emerged with Carlstad Crusaders wide receiver Robin Juhlin taking over top spot.

The Carlstad Crusaders have five players in the Top 5 in the three categories, passing, receiving and rushing. The Örebro Black Knights have four and the Stockholm Mean Machines three. The Göteborg Marvels are represented by two players and the Uppsala 86ers one.


Carlstad Crusaders QB Philip Juhlin  threw for 396 yards in the Crusaders 64-25 win over the Black Knights and extended his lead in passing yardage with 1,710 yards and 21 TDs.  Anders Hermodsson of the Stockholm Mean Machines is 2nd with his 1,201  yards. Örebro Black Knights quarterback Raleigh Yeldell III has moved up one spot to 3rd with 978 yards while John Rock of the Uppsala 86ers, whose team was idle, has dropped one spot to 4th  with 768 yards.  RB/QB Gerard Johnson of the Göteborg Marvels in 5th with 623 yards.


Robin Juhlin of the Carlstad Crusaders is the new receiving yards leader in Sweden after catching 14 passes for 197 yards and 3 TDs against the  Örebro Black Knights. He now has 625 yards receiving in 5 games. For the first time this year, Stockholm Mean Machines WR Matthew Retzlaff has been bumped from the top spot but is not far behind Juhlin with 603 yards. Last year’s top wide receiver, Jacob Dahre of the Crusaders is 3rd with 464 while Black Knights WR Tomas Jacobssen is now 4th with 394 yards.yards surpassing his teammate Johannes Lindeus who slides down to 5th with his 379 yards.


Stockholm Mean Machines RB Emil Knutsson rushed for 144 yards in the Mean Machines 45-27 win over the Göteborg Marvels and now has 640 yards to remain the top rusher in the Swedish SuperserienJohnny Grandin of the  Örebro Black Knights is still 2nd with 500 yards while Carlstad Crusaders RB Victor Toresson is 3rd with 310 yards. Crusader’s QB Philip Juhlin is 4th with 246 and a league-best 7 TDs. Marvels Gerard Johnson is now 5th with 215 yards and 5 TDs.
