Poland’s Tychy Falcons sign veteran Richard Bonds to run defense

The Tychy Falcons have added a key piece to their team puzzle in signing one of the most experienced coaches in Europe, Richard Bonds, as their defensive coordinator.

The 53 year old Bonds most recently helped Turkey’s Koc Rams win back-to-back Turkish titles acting as both assistant head coach and defensive coordinator. His coaching resume in Europe stretches back 10 years when he helped the Zurich Renegades win the Swiss title in 2008 as assistant head coach and defensive coordinator. In fact, in the past six years, his teams have reached the championship final in five different countries. In total, Bonds has coached in nine different countries outside of the United States.

The Falcons advanced to the playoffs in 2017 in their first year in Poland’s top league, will play in the newly-formed Ekstraklasa Futbolu Amerykańskiego league in Poland in 2018.

Bonds is aware of the challenges:

” I heard about the case of Ekstraklasa Futbolu Amerykańskiego in Poland and I look forward to the challenges that will be put ahead of us. Tychy Falcons is a group of many talented athletes and great coaches, and my goal will show that for so roundup football family doesn’t have things unavailable “

Bonds’ coaching resume is impressive to say the least
