Power Ranking the Top 9 QBs in the CFL After Week 6

More and more, the 2017 crop of starting quarterbacks in the CFL is worthy of historical comparison. It seems like every week a career day is contributed somewhere in the league, and most of these guys already have notable careers! After another week of stats and action, The Grueling Truth presents our weekly CFL Quarterback Power Rankings…

1. Mike Reilly, Edmonton Eskimos

No reason to drop Reilly out of the top spot after another stellar performance. Reilly completed 24 of 32 passes for 412 yards in the win for Edmonton (5-0). Reilly has been on top of his game all year and despite injuries to some key players the Eskimos still look like the best team in the CFL.

2. Bo Levi Mitchell, Calgary Stampeders

Mitchell guided the Stamps over the Ti-Cats in a laugher. Mitchell was 11-17 for 197 yards and a TD in shortened playing time. Lets face it their was no need to have Mitchell in the game any longer than he was.

3. Matt Nichols, Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Nichols was amazing in the last two minutes of Winnipeg’s come from behind win over the Montreal Alouettes. Last week, I asked: Can Nichols make enough plays in the clutch to get the Bombers to the Cup? The Alouettes game does not change my answer to yes, but the more I see him the more I think he may be able to do just that.

4. Ricky Ray, Toronto Argonauts

Ray played well again in a losing effort at B.C. Ray has played like he is still in his prime- can that continue? Yes it can, but I don’t think he has enough help around him for the Argos to become a Grey Cup contender.

5. Kevin Glenn, Saskatchewan Roughriders

Glenn played well in the Riders win over Toronto and with the amount of weapons the Riders have this team could be a dark horse playoff contender.

6. Trevor Harris, Ottawa Redblacks

Harris was on a bye week this week.

7. Darian Durant, Montreal Alouettes

Durant played great in the Alouettes’ 41-40 loss to the Bombers and Durant makes the Als a very dangerous team.

8. Travis Lulay, B.C. Lions

Lulay played well in the Lions loss, but once again he has had trouble not turning the ball over. Two interceptions really hurt the Lions, the Lions have a penchant for putting themselves in a hole.

9. Zach Collaros, Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Things are getting ugly in Hamilton…
