Ramon Matire leads Botafogo Reptiles past Santos Tsunami

Botafogo Reptiles – 33
Santos Tsunami – 10

Vila Olimpíca – Duque do Caixas, Rio de Janeiro

Ramon Matire threw for four scores in a playoff-clinching win for Rio de Janeiro’s Reptiles.
‘’We played a great game,’’ said Reptiles Head Coach, Duda Duarte. ‘’Our offense controlled the game and the offensive line gave (Matire) time to throw the football,’’ he added.

In his four touchdown passes, Matire spread the love around to our separate targets, Loan Felisardo, Fabricio Santos, Marcelo Bruno and Felipe Juncal.

‘’We had good, long drives,’’ said Matire.

Strong safety, Pedro Eyer, added an interception for the playoff bound Reptiles.

AFI’s take: The Reptiles are moving in the right direction as the playoffs approach. This squad has a lot of veterans and will be a tough matchup for whoever draws them.
