Spain: Badalona Dracs sign Georgetown Hoyas LB Mike Taylor

The Badalona Dracs, reigning Spanish champions, have signed linebacker Mike Taylor from the Georgetown University Hoyas for the remainder of the 2020/2021 season.

Taylor will replace the injured Dustin Illetschko.

Badalona has played one game so far beating the Zaragoza Hurricanes 51-6.

The 6’2″, 265 pound Taylor from Shreveport, Louisiana, spent four years playing for the Georgetown University Hoyas (NCAA Div. 1 FBS, Big East Conference). In his senior year, 2018, he started all 11 games and finished with 36 total tackles, 1.5 TFL and 1.0 sacks.

Badalona head coach Oscar Calatayud:

“Although it was an ‘express signing’ to replace Dustin Ilichecko who suffered an old injury Mike has been great to deal with and a very good player. We were very lucky he was already in Europe. He has only had one practice but we feel very good about him already.”
