Tokyo Gas Creators vs. Nojima Sagamihara Rise

Tokyo Gas comes in with some momentum after knocking off OrientalBio 27-17 in Round 6.

Waiting for the Creators is a Nojima team that has turned its season around with consecutive victories. Running back Sho Yoshizawa leads a ground attack averaging a league-best 130.2 yards per game, while the Rise are converting 44.8% of their third downs.

Panasonic Impulse vs. IBM BIG BLUE

Panasonic has ripped off four straight wins after an 0-2 start and enters Round 7 coming off a 36-15 victory over ELECOM Kobe.

The defending champions have leaned heavily on the ground game, averaging 127 yards rushing, second in the league. Victor Mitchell leads that attack after rushing for 72 yards and two touchdowns against Kobe.

IBM answered its loss to Fujitsu by beating All Mitsubishi 24-10. Its defense has forced a league-high 12 turnovers, while quarterback Yuki Masamoto and receiver Reece Horn give the Big Blue a dangerous passing combination.

ELECOM Kobe Finies vs. Fujifilm Ebina Minerva AFC

After opening 3-0, ELECOM Kobe has dropped three straight and needs to stop the slide.

The Finies face a Fujifilm team whose scheduled Round 6 game against OBIC ended in a 1-0 forfeit. Kobe’s defense has produced 11 takeaways, while the Minerva defense ranks second against the pass at 140.6 yards allowed per game.

Fujitsu Frontiers vs. OrientalBio Silver Star

Fujitsu escaped Round 6 with a 20-17 win over the SEKISUI Challengers, improving to 5-1 and keeping itself firmly in the hunt near the top.

The Frontiers bring the league’s No. 1 passing offense into Wednesday’s matchup, averaging 225.2 yards through the air and a league-best 25.3 points per game.

OrientalBio, meanwhile, is still chasing its first victory after falling 27-17 to Tokyo Gas. Its next assignment doesn’t get any easier against one of the most productive offenses in the X League Premier.

With OBIC idle, Wednesday gives Fujitsu and Panasonic an opportunity to keep the pressure on the unbeaten Seagulls as the Fall Series moves deeper into the season.
