Sweden: Örebro Black Knights sign DT Tristen Cox

Swedish Superserien defending champions, the Örebro Black Knights, have announced the signing of defensive tackle Tristen Cox from Elon University.

The6’3″, 307 pound, 22-year-old native of Piqua, Ohio played 48 games at nose tackle for Elon (NCAA Div. 1, FCS) and amassed 117 tackles. He was the team captain and in his senior season was named as an FCS ADA Academic All Star.

Micael Jönsson, General Manager of the Black Knights is excited:

“Tristen has a great motor and can run from sideline to sideline. He will bring pressure from the inside and will free up our linebackers so they can make tackles. Also, our defensive backs won’t have to stay in coverage as long which will make a big difference.”
