Titans acquiring Rams WR Robert Woods for 2023 sixth-rounder

According to emerging reports from different reliable sources, the Tennessee Titans have acquired Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Robert Woods. In return for Woods, Tennessee is said to be sending a sixth-round selection in 2023 to Los Angeles.

In the NFL world, Robert Thomas Woods is not a new name. The exceptional wide receiver played at USC, where his performances wowed everyone, leading to wide recognition among peers as an All-American. In round two of the NFL Draft in 2013, the Buffalo Bills acquired Robert.

After a couple of years with the Bills, the 6 foot tall WR moved to the Los Angeles Rams where he established himself in the 2017 season. Robert’s season, however, was cut short in 2021 after he tore his ACL in practice.

Woods, who turns 30 in April, is coming off a torn ACL he sustained during a practice session in November 2021. He had accumulated 45 catches for 556 yards and four touchdowns in nine games before sustaining the injury.

The Rams signed Woods to a five-year, $39 million free-agent contract in 2017. Between 2018 and 2020, Woods has three seasons with at least 86 receptions and 936 yards, including two seasons with 1,100 yards or more.

After signing Allen Robinson on a three-year, $45 million deal with the Chicago Bears, the Super Bowl champion Rams had many options for the wide receiver position. Los Angeles is believed to be keen to keep Odell Beckham Jr., who is recovering from a ruptured ACL. Following the recent Superbowl win, the Rams should be considered huge favorites with online betting across multiple betting channels.

The deal frees up room at wide receiver and on the Rams’ cap sheet, which is in desperate need of cash. By getting off Woods in 2022, Los Angeles will save $7.1 million. After signing a four-year, $65 million extension in 2020, Woods still has four years on his contract. He is capped at $13.5 million for the upcoming season, and it will rise every year through 2024, when it will be $17.5 million.

Odell Beckham Jr was brought in to replace Woods, and the rest is history, as they say. When Odell was with the Browns, he seemed to be heading nowhere, but things changed quickly after he joined the Rams following the move. NFL betting fans can trust Betway to bring all the action.

OBJ was instrumental in leading the Rams to a number of significant victories, culminating in a Super Bowl victory. Following that, there were rumors about what would happen to Robert, and now, the Tennessee Titans are in talks to sign him from the Rams. Following the departure of Julio Jones, the Titans faced a void at wide receiver. Jones only played for Tennessee for one season, catching 48 receptions for 434 yards and one score in ten games. This summer, the Titans made another big move for a wide receiver, bringing in Woods to play with star A.J. Brown, one year after making a statement with a trade for Jones.

It will certainly be a massive season for the Titans going forward, and you can fancy them to have a splendid season with Betway when NFL resumes.
