In Week Seven of the United Football League, standout performances from Elijhah Badger, Jordan Mosley, and Colby Wadman earned them Player of the Week honors, helping their teams secure crucial victories. This week marks the second consecutive week that both the Birmingham Stallions and St. Louis Battlehawks have been represented in these accolades.
Offensive Player of the Week: Elijhah Badger, Orlando Storm, WR
When the Orlando Storm needed a spark, wide receiver Elijhah Badger delivered in a big way. He caught four passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to make plays when it mattered most. Badger opened the scoring in the first quarter, beating his defender over the middle and sprinting 35 yards for a touchdown. Later, in the fourth quarter, he found himself in single coverage again, easily outrunning his man for a 31-yard go-ahead touchdown. The Storm will look to build on this momentum as they return to action on a short week this Friday.
Defensive Player of the Week: Jordan Mosley, St. Louis Battlehawks, SS
The St. Louis Battlehawks continue to dominate defensively, and safety Jordan Mosley played a pivotal role in their latest victory over Columbus. Mosley led the team with seven tackles, including four solo stops, half a sack, a pass breakup, and an interception. His all-around performance helped the Battlehawks secure their third straight win. Mosley’s efforts earned him his first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season. The Battlehawks will aim for a fourth consecutive victory this Saturday.
Special Teams Player of the Week: Colby Wadman, Birmingham Stallions, P
In a tightly contested defensive battle, punter Colby Wadman of the Birmingham Stallions was instrumental in flipping the field. He punted five times for a total of 267 yards, averaging an impressive 53.4 yards per punt, with a long of 66 yards. Wadman consistently pinned the Dallas offense deep in their territory, contributing to the Stallions’ overtime victory. The Stallions will look to extend their winning streak to three games this Sunday against Columbus.
These players not only showcased their individual talents but also played crucial roles in their teams’ successes, making Week Seven a memorable one in the UFL.
