Wroclaw Panthers overwhelm Berlin Thunder in American Football League Europe showdown

The Wroclaw Panthers (3-1) delivered one of the most impressive performances of the young American Football League Europe season, dominating the Berlin Thunder (2-2) from start to finish in a convincing 50-12 victory before their home fans.

What was billed as one of the marquee matchups of Week 4 quickly turned into a one-sided affair as Wroclaw built a massive halftime lead and never allowed Berlin a path back into the game.

Panthers seize control early

The Panthers wasted little time taking command.

Quarterback Jameson Wang was sharp from the opening drive, directing an offense that moved the ball effectively both through the air and on the ground. Running back Dawid Brzozowski set the tone with 148 rushing yards on just 16 carries, consistently putting the Wroclaw offense in favorable situations.

Wang added a rushing touchdown of his own while connecting with Michael Harley Jr. on a key scoring play. Kacper Jaszewski also found the end zone as the Panthers raced to a stunning 30-0 halftime advantage.

By the break, Wroclaw had complete control on both sides of the ball.

Thunder struggle to respond

For the Thunder, it was a frustrating afternoon from the start.

Jakeb Sullivan entered the game among the league’s most productive quarterbacks, but the Panthers defense never allowed him to get comfortable. Sullivan was sacked three times and spent much of the game facing pressure before routes could fully develop.

Jon Cole remained a focal point of the passing game, but penalties and missed opportunities repeatedly stalled Berlin drives.

The combination of sacks, penalties, and an inability to sustain offensive momentum proved too much to overcome.

Wang leads offensive showcase

Wang finished with five touchdown passes and one rushing score in a masterful performance.

Michael Harley Jr., Juan Flores-Calderon, Kacper Jaszewski, and Maciej Krupa all caught touchdown passes, while Kamil Kotlarz added a rushing touchdown late in the game. With the outcome firmly decided, backup quarterback Diego Lliteras took over in the fourth quarter.

The victory sends the Wroclaw Panthers into their bye week with plenty of momentum, while the Berlin Thunder now face a difficult road trip to Duisburg to take on Rhein Fire.
