LIVESTREAM AUSTRIA: Swarco Raiders @ Mödling Rangers, May 14th, 15:00 CET, (3pm, 9am ET) (Game geoblocked)

The Austrian Football League continues as the defending champion Swarco Raiders (0-4) visit the Mödling Rangers (3-2) in this mid-season matchup.

The Rangers go into this game with a streak of winning two of their last three games. After a winless 2021, the Rangers look like a dark horse for a playoff spot this season. Quarterback Benjamin Brauer has been playing well throwing for 588 yards and seven touchdowns while adding 288 yards on the ground. One of the league’s lone domestic passers hopes to get another win for his Rangers this at home today.

The Raiders enter this week after a 0-42 blowout loss to the Danube Dragons last week. Swarco hopes to get its offense going after failing to score a single point. Quarterback Isaiah Weed and running back Mike Gentili are two veterans that will have their young score eager to respond after a disappointing out.

Gentili missed last week’s game, after putting a solid number through three games. His backfield counterpart Isaiah Weed has been the lone bright spot for the Raiders this season putting up 980 passing yards and 12 touchdowns through three games. On the ground, the veteran has a dynamic runner totaling 288 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively, the winless Swarco Raiders have been abysmal giving up a whopping 44 points a game. A far cry from last year’s unit. Coaches are hoping to see the young talent on this defense grow up fast and be able to compete at the AFL level.

AFL fans are excited to see the Rangers make a run at the playoffs this year as the league seems to be more open than ever. The Raiders on the other hand are eager to show that they can hold their own in the league and win their first game of the season.
