History of the ELF Championship Game
The 2024 ELF Championship Game is just five days away as the undefeated Vienna Vikings will take on the defending champion Rhein Fire in Gelsenkirchen (Sunday, 15:30 CET). Let’s take a look at all the ELF Championship Games we’ve seen thus far.
ELF’s first champion: Frankfurt Galaxy
The 2021 ELF Championship was played in Merkur Spiel-Arena in Düsseldorf, Germany in front of 22,000 fans. Frankfurt defeated Hamburg 32-30 in an epic game with several lead changes. Current Rhein Fire stars Jadrian Clark and Glen Toonga fell just short of current Berlin Thunder quarterback Jakeb Sullivan, as head coach Thomas Kosling and the Galaxy made history becoming the first ever ELF champions.
