LIVESTREAM Austria: Vienna Knights @ Fehérvár Enthroners, June 27, 19:00 CET (7 pm, 1 pm ET)
The Austrian Football League regular season comes down to a high-stakes showdown Saturday as the Fehérvár Enthroners (2-7) host the Vienna Knights (6-3). While the home team needs a victory to keep its playoff hopes alive, the Knights are still chasing a higher postseason seed, giving both teams plenty to play for in the regular-season finale.
Playoff pressure on both sidelines
The stakes could hardly be higher.
A win would allow the Enthroners to leapfrog the Salzburg Ducks and keep their postseason hopes alive. For the Knights, a victory, combined with the right results elsewhere, could lift them into third place heading into the playoffs.
Fehérvár head coach Michael Wood knows exactly what is on the line.
“We are looking forward to the game against the Knights. It’s our last home game of the season and we’ll give everything we have left in the tank to beat this well-prepared and strong Knights team on our own field and secure our chance to finish sixth in the standings.”

Enthroners seeking a response
The Enthroners enter the weekend looking to bounce back after a 35-7 loss to the AFC Vienna Vikings. Despite the score, their playoff hopes remain alive.
The biggest challenge will be finding consistency against one of the league’s stronger defenses. A week ago, Fehérvár managed its only touchdown on a kickoff return after being held scoreless by the Vikings offense and defense for most of the afternoon.
Playing at home for the final time this season should provide extra motivation as the Hungarian club looks to extend its year.
Knights eye momentum
The Knights also have something to prove after falling 58-15 to the Graz Giants last week.
Although Chad Jeffries connected twice with Florian Huber before halftime, Vienna was shut out over the final two quarters as the Giants pulled away. Head coach Ivan Zivko expects his team to respond despite dealing with several absences.
“We want to leave a positive mark for ourselves and end the regular season on a positive note. We know we have to compensate for some absences, as we did against the Giants. We will give young players an opportunity while keeping our full focus on this game as preparation for the playoffs.”
Everything on the line
With postseason implications for both clubs, expect an intense battle from kickoff. The Enthroners are fighting to keep their season alive, while the Knights are looking to build momentum and improve their playoff position.
When the final whistle sounds, one team could be celebrating a crucial step forward, while the other may be left wondering what might have been.
