After three weeks of European Football Alliance action, the Prague Lions face another major challenge. This Sunday, Czech franchise welcomes the undefeated Nordic Storm, with a chance to gain revenge for their heavy defeat in the season opener.

While the Prague Lions enter the matchup still searching for their first win at 0-2, Nordic Storm arrives in Prague full of confidence. Head Coach John Shoop’s squad has been one of the most dominant teams in the EFA so far and has won both of its opening games in convincing fashion.

A Reminder of the Season Opener

These two teams already met in Week 1. On that occasion, Nordic Storm left little doubt about the outcome, cruising to a commanding 47-13 victory. The Scandinavian side built a 14-0 lead in the opening quarter and extended it to 28-7 by halftime.

Quarterback Jadrian Clark orchestrated the offense with remarkable efficiency, while running back Glen Toonga and receivers Brendan Beaulieu and Roberto Miranda repeatedly found ways to break down the Prague defense. On the other side of the ball, the Nordic Storm defense consistently pressured Prague Lions quarterback Jaylon Henderson and forced multiple turnovers throughout the game.

Prague Still Searching for Its First Victory

Although the Prague Lions remain winless, the team has shown flashes of promise. In their most recent outing against the Paris Musketeers, Prague battled hard before eventually falling 30-9. The defense kept the game competitive for long stretches, while players such as Matyáš Bílý, William Patterson, and running back Adam Žouželka provided offensive sparks.

Now, playing in front of their home crowd, the Prague Lions hope to take the next step and deliver a much stronger performance than they did in the first meeting with Nordic Storm.

Nordic Storm Looking to Continue Its Dominance

The visitors from Scandinavia travel to Prague with a perfect 2-0 record. After dismantling the Prague Lions in Week 1, Nordic Storm followed up with an impressive 39-16 victory over the Raiders Tirol. The game remained competitive for three quarters before Nordic Storm pulled away with a dominant 20-point fourth quarter.

Quarterback Jadrian Clark once again demonstrated why he is considered one of the league’s premier playmakers. Glen Toonga led a powerful rushing attack, while the defense forced multiple interceptions and consistently disrupted Raiders Tirol quarterback Steven Krajewski.

Clear Favorites, But Anything Can Happen

On paper, Nordic Storm enters the matchup as the clear favorite. Through two games, the team has scored a combined 86 points and established itself as one of the most explosive offenses in the European Football Alliance. At the same time, its defense has proven capable of creating game-changing plays and controlling opposing offenses.

Still, games like these are what make football special. The Prague Lions are desperate for their first victory and will have the support of their home fans behind them. Nordic Storm, meanwhile, is looking to maintain its unbeaten start and strengthen its position among the EFA’s top contenders.

Whether Prague can produce a major upset or Nordic Storm continues its winning streak will be decided this weekend in the Czech capital.
