Ellis’s journey to Switzerland followed a uniquely busy 2025. After playing for the AFC Vienna Vikings in the Austrian Football League, where he threw for 1,510 yards and 11 touchdowns in 10 games, Ellis also suited up for the Ibaraki Saviors in Japan’s X-League Area 2. This dual commitment highlighted both his durability and his high demand across the international football scene.
