Wroclaw Panthers sign Troy Tomlin as assistant HC and OC
New Wroclaw Panthers head coach Dave Likins has made his first major staff move, bringing in veteran mentor and offensive innovator Troy Tomlin as assistant head coach and offensive coordinator.
A strategic reunion
Likins, who previously worked under Tomlin, is reuniting with his former boss in a move that highlights his intention to build a seasoned and cohesive coaching staff. Tomlin, one of the most accomplished figures in European American football, brings championship experience and a proven offensive system to Wroclaw. His hiring reflects Likins’ desire to install a culture of proven success and tactical sophistication as he takes the helm of the Panthers.
A decorated addition
Tomlin’s extensive resume includes five German Bowl titles and five Eurobowl championships earned primarily during his lengthy tenure with the Braunschweig New Yorker Lions. With an overall head coaching record of 296 wins, 72 losses, and three ties, he brings a track record of consistent winning and leadership at the highest level of the European game.
Building a new direction
The addition of Tomlin is a significant step for a Panthers team looking to improve on last season’s 5-7 record in the European League of Football. His primary focus will be on revitalizing the team’s offense, implementing schemes that have delivered results for decades. For Likins, partnering with a coach of Tomlin’s caliber not only strengthens the staff but also signals a serious commitment to building a competitive and well-structured program in Wroclaw.
