Four teams left standing after dramatic UFL regular season

The Orlando Storm (8-2), St. Louis Battlehawks (6-4), Louisville Kings (6-4), and DC Defenders (5-5) are the final four teams left standing after a dramatic finish to the United Football League regular season, setting the stage for what promises to be an entertaining playoff weekend.

The UFL’s 10-week regular season came to a close with plenty of the league’s trademark chaos. There were upsets, explosive performances, and momentum swings throughout Week 10 as teams made their final push before the postseason.

The playoff field is now set. The top-seeded Orlando Storm will host the fourth-seeded DC Defenders on Sunday afternoon, while the second-seeded St. Louis Battlehawks welcome the third-seeded Louisville Kings later that evening with a trip to the United Bowl at stake.

Dallas ends on a high note

The final week began in St. Louis, where the Dallas Renegades finally snapped a six-game losing streak with a 20-16 victory over the playoff-bound St. Louis Battlehawks.

Austin Reed turned in one of his best performances of the season, throwing three touchdown passes while posting a 114.6 quarterback rating. Tyler Vaughns and Emanuel Butler each caught touchdown passes and finished the regular season with seven receiving touchdowns, tying the UFL single-season record.

The Dallas Renegades defense dominated throughout the game, recording seven sacks, 10 tackles for loss, and three takeaways. The victory allowed the Dallas Renegades to finish the year at 4-6, while the St. Louis Battlehawks closed the regular season with a 6-4 record.

Gamblers finish strong

The Houston Gamblers closed out their season with an impressive victory over the Birmingham Stallions, spoiling any chance for Birmingham to build momentum heading into the offseason.

Houston controlled the line of scrimmage from start to finish, outgaining the Birmingham Stallions 390-131. The Houston Gamblers rushed for a UFL-record 278 yards and consistently pressured quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson throughout the contest.

Both clubs finished the season with identical 4-6 records.

Orlando keeps rolling

The Orlando Storm secured the league’s best record and Anthony Becht’s second consecutive 8-2 season by defeating the DC Defenders.

A pick-six by Mishael Powell helped swing momentum early and gave Orlando a lead it would never surrender. Despite the defeat, the DC Defenders rushed for an impressive 219 yards behind quarterback Jason Bean.

The victory sets up a third consecutive meeting between the two teams, this time with a berth in the United Bowl on the line.

Kings carry momentum into playoffs

The regular season concluded with an entertaining matchup between the Louisville Kings and Columbus Aviators, and the game wasted little time delivering excitement.

The opening quarter alone produced 28 points and featured an Eric Garror pick-six, an on-field altercation that resulted in an ejection, and a 61-yard four-point field goal by Jonah Dalmas.

When the final whistle sounded, the Louisville Kings had secured a 42-27 victory and their fourth consecutive win. Meanwhile, the Columbus Aviators wrapped up their inaugural campaign with a 3-7 record.

Now the regular season is over, and only four teams remain in the hunt for a championship. Beginning Sunday, the road to the United Bowl officially gets underway.
