Austria: Prague Black Panthers overwhelm AFC Vienna Vikings 41-15

In a crucial Week 6 matchup, the Prague Black Panthers triumphed over the AFC Vienna Vikings with a decisive 41-15 victory, improving their record to 4-2 while the Vikings fell to 3-3. This win was especially sweet for Prague, avenging their earlier 24-0 loss in Vienna.

Fast start for Prague

The Black Panthers came out strong, quickly establishing control of the game. Jakub Wolesky opened the scoring with a touchdown run, and shortly after, Jakub Rada intercepted a blocked field goal attempt by the Vikings and returned it for another touchdown. With two successful extra points from Martin Mandík, Prague jumped out to a 14-0 lead, setting the tone for the rest of the game.

Vikings fight back

The Vikings managed to respond when quarterback Michael Szabo connected with Niklas Lechner for a touchdown, followed by a successful two-point conversion that narrowed the score to 14-8. However, the Black Panthers quickly answered back with a touchdown from Ahmonte D’Shon Watkins, taking a 21-8 lead into halftime.

Second half control

After the break, the Black Panthers continued to dominate. Watkins scored again, and quarterback Amos Feranec threw a stunning 51-yard touchdown pass to Jan Vrňata, extending the lead to 35-8. Although the Vikings added a late touchdown from Rudi Lee-Frey, it wasn’t enough to shift momentum. The Black Panthers sealed the game with a final touchdown from Wolesky, ending the contest at 41-15.

With this victory, the Prague Black Panthers solidified their playoff position and look forward to continuing their strong performance in the coming weeks.
