Germany: Berlin Rebels sign former Stony Brook University QB Tyquell Fields

The Berlin Rebels have announced the signing of former NCAA DI quarterback Tyquell Fields from Stony Brook University to lead them during the 2024 German Football League campaign.

Fields joins the Rebels following a 2023 season which saw him play for the Danube Dragons in the Austrian Football League and then guide the European League of Football’s Prague Lions for the final four games of the year during which he threw for 477 yards in four games.

The 6’2 195-pound dual-threat passer finished an accomplished career at Stony Brook University (NCAA DI FCS) where he broke several school records. In his junior season in 2019, Fields recorded 2,809 yards of total offense, the most in school history and his 2,471 passing yards are the second most in a season. The YonkersNew York native finished his career with 4,851 passing yards and 29 touchdowns to go with 715 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground.

Following his senior year in 2021, Fields played in the Collegiate Gridiron Showcase all-star event, and was signed by the Virginia Armada of MLFB (Major League Football), however, the league folded before its first game. He was also hosted by the XFL for several workouts.

Fields will bring a high level of athleticism, toughness, and football IQ to a Dragons team looking to reload after capturing its first Austrian Bowl Title ever last season.
