Plummer, Crowder, and Brown Secure Week Eight Honors
In a thrilling Week Eight of the United Football League, standout performances from Jack Plummer, Tae Crowder, and Tanner Brown stole the spotlight. Plummer led the Orlando Storm to a playoff-clinching victory, Crowder continued his defensive dominance for the Birmingham Stallions, and Brown made history with a remarkable four-point field goal.
Offensive Player of the Week: Jack Plummer, Orlando Storm, QB
For the second consecutive week, a player from the Orlando Storm has claimed the Offensive Player of the Week title. Jack Plummer was outstanding in the Storm’s postseason-clinching win over the Dallas Aviators at Fort Hood, marking the first professional football game ever played on a military base. Plummer orchestrated an impressive offensive display, leading his team to 31 points and racking up 367 total yards.
The highlight of his performance came in the third quarter when he executed a dazzling 71-yard touchdown run, the longest of the season in the UFL. Plummer completed 67% of his passes for 238 yards and added another rushing touchdown, solidifying his status as a key player as the Storm gear up for their home finale against the DC Defenders.
NOBULL Defensive Player of the Week: Tae Crowder, Birmingham Stallions, LB
The Birmingham Stallions continue to dominate the defensive side of the ball, with Tae Crowder earning the NOBULL Defensive Player of the Week honors for the third straight week. In a crucial victory over the Aviators, Crowder recorded his fourth double-digit tackle game of the season, finishing with six solo tackles, two tackles for loss, and a game-sealing interception. His efforts helped limit the league’s top rushing offense to just three points, and he currently leads the UFL with 64 total tackles.
Special Teams Player of the Week: Tanner Brown, Louisville Kings, K
Tanner Brown of the Louisville Kings made headlines with a historic performance, earning his second Special Teams Player of the Week honor this season. Brown went a perfect four-for-four on field goals, including a stunning 60-yard kick that marked the first four-point field goal in franchise history. This kick also made him just the third kicker in UFL history to convert from 60-plus yards for four points. With 22 made field goals this season, Brown is on track to break the UFL single-season record.
