Baltimore Ravens: Recognition, COVID-19, and More News

Catch up on the recent news, updates, score lines, and events of your favourite NFL team, the Baltimore Ravens.

Ravens believe they will claim the Best Team in the AFC North title

The Ravens will not win the AFC North for a third consecutive season due to their position on the table. But the team still believes that they would finish the season as the best team in the division.

Ravens won three running matches in their last three-game weeks, with Lamar Jackson going back to his outstanding form. During this period, first-position Pittsburgh Steelers have failed to secure a win in their last three consecutive games. So far, they are currently showing the most vibes in the division. All this is thanks to the outstanding performances of Jackson.

The Ravens struggled to secure a top spot in the division in the early phases of the season. It was perhaps due to the coronavirus pandemic. But abruptly, they have become the most threatening team in the AFC North.

Ravens activate two players from the reserve list

Cornerback Dovontae Harris is now on the injured reserve following the activation of two players by the Ravens. This new injury update will see the Ravens squad stretched thinner despite their already injury-riddled condition.

Ravens were previously shorn of Jimmy Smith and Marcus on Sunday before Harris joined the injury list. Harris has played four games with the Ravens ever since joining from Denver Broncos in November.

The two players that are to come off the reserve list are Chris Moore and Geno Stone.

Geno Stone has been on the Reserve/COVID-19 list since early December. He was the last player on the Ravens’ COVID-19 list, and his placement on the list has proven to be beneficial to the team now.

Dez Bryant catches the first touchdown in three years

It was an iconic day for Dez Bryant in a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Bryant caught his first touchdown pass in three years. The 11-yard pass came from Lamar Jackson in the second quarter of the game.

Bryant, elated with himself, crossed his arms in front of his chest. The celebration was his signature X. His Sunday’s TD goal would mark the first time he has reached the touch zone since Dec. 10.

Bryant later explained the meaning of his signature celebration, X. It meant that he wanted to remove all negative vibes and never give up.

The touchdown from Bryant increased Baltimore’s lead to 26-0 in the match against the Jaguars. Baltimore went on to claim victory by ending it 40-14.

To help with bettors’ bet selection and predictions, here are some interesting facts about the Baltimore Ravens and New York Giants:

  • For 11 consecutive games, the Ravens have held opponents below a 46% third-down conversion rate. Their defense now ranks fourth in the NFL, in terms of keeping the opponent’s third-down conversion rate low.
  • Daniel Jones of the Giants has about 403 rushing yards this season. Jones was out of the team after suffering a hamstring and ankle injury. If we are to see a return to the field from Jones, his running knack is something the defense should look out for.
  • Baltimore Ravens are now on a three-game winning streak. The Ravens would love to keep up with their wins, so we should expect them to put up a tough fight.
  • The Giants permit about 3.9 yards per rushing attempt. It is the sixth-fewest in the NFL. The Ravens will have to bolster their attack if they want to beat a sturdy Giant defense.
